Why pick me to tell your story?

I’m not just a photographer.

I’m a woman, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a best friend—and I know how quickly the chapters we think we’ll always remember begin to change. I’ve photographed a baby taking their first breath and being placed into their mama’s arms. I’ve watched a father look at his child with tears in his eyes, overwhelmed by the tenderness and miracle of that moment.

And I’ve also had the sacred privilege of photographing a final breath—the last time two hands would hold each other on this side of heaven. I have stood in rooms where a chapter was just beginning, and in rooms where one was coming to an end.

That changes the way I photograph everything in between.

Because I know the ordinary moments aren’t ordinary forever.

The tiny hand that still reaches for yours. The child who still fits across your lap. The siblings piled together on the couch.

The senior standing at the edge of everything that comes next.

The way your children still come looking for you. The sound of their laughter filling the house. The way your family fits together right now.

Those are the things I notice.

I’ll gently guide you, adjust what needs adjusting, calm the nerves, and help you feel like yourself in front of the camera.

But while I’m doing that, I’m also watching for what you may not realize you’ll miss. The glance. The touch. The reaching hand. The way they lean into you. Because I understand how precious time is.

I don’t simply photograph people. I preserve chapters.

The beginnings. The becoming. The ordinary days. The milestones. And, sometimes, the goodbyes. So that long after the chapter changes, you still have something that can bring you back to it.

This chapter is worth keeping.
